What is EFT?
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique. You can free yourself from problems, emotions, pain, cravings, hunger, traumas and much more (see list below) with this powerful technique of modern energetic psychology.
Dr. Callaghan worked with his clients with acupressure before he semi-accidently discovered EFT. It was he who discovered the connection between “stimulating (tapping) specific acupuncture points” and “subjective emotional wellbeing” first. This Technique was then further developed by Gary Craig in the USA.
Simply put, it is acupuncture without needles. Instead of inserting needles into your body, you tap gently on specific acupuncture points and stimulate them this way. Acupuncture points are already described in ancient oriental techniques of acupuncture. These points, also called tapping points, are spots on the meridians – the power lines running through your body. Energy imbalance or blocked energy flow in your body can cause physical pain, anxiety, weight gain, anger, and other problems. By tapping on these points the energy system can be re-balanced and energy flows smoothly through the body again. The body recovers, psychological stress and physical pain are released, and wellbeing, health, positive emotions, and its empowered self-healing ability are soon to follow.
Results can be achieved within minutes.
How can EFT help to lose weight?
All the extra pounds we put on are a sign that our energy flow is either blocked or out of balance. Stress, negative emotions, anger, fears, events and experiences from our childhood, past relationships, poor body image, inner critique, negative self-doubt, judging ourselves, and much more can cause weight gain. All attempts to lose weight are sabotaged by these unresolved issues from our past.
EFT can end all these struggles, because it reduces cravings, emotional eating, and binging. Using EFT is your chance to tap your limits away to achieve a slimmer and healthier body merely by tapping on these important acupoints.
I love this method so much because it is extremely powerful, easy to use and it can be used everywhere and anytime from anyone for everything that comes up. And besides all of that, it is even quick to learn the basic traditional EFT technique.
We eat for many reasons. Most people eat to relax or comfort themselves after an exhausting workday. There are many reasons why we overeat. Sometimes we overeat because we simply want some peace. Other times because we are angry, sad, lonely, or disappointed from social interaction. Overeating can also be triggered by past traumas, frustration, negative feelings about oneself or other people, unhappy about our own body, own body image, judging ourselves or being judged harshly towards high expectations. The unfortunate effects of these problems are overeating, unreasonable craving, emotional eating, and excessive binging; all which lead to excessive weight gain and the inability to lose any of it again.
You can use EFT for:
Tap with your favorite hand or with both hands. To make sure you're on the right spot use two fingers for tapping. For the Karate chop point and Top of the head use four fingers for tapping. There is no wrong tapping, so don’t worry. The points are located on both sides of the face and body. For best results tap 7-8 times on each spot. Do not change sides during a round. Alternatively you may tap with both hands on both sides at the same time.
